Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of MIL‑STD‑461 and MIL‑STD‑464 EMC test methods
• Experience with radiated and conducted emissions/immunity testing from pre‑to full compliance
• Hands‑on experience with EMC test equipment (EMI receivers, signal generators, LISNs, current probes, antennas)
• Experience managing or maintaining an EMC test lab, including calibration
• Working knowledge of PCB layout, stack‑up, and flex design related to EMC
• Familiarity with shielding materials, coatings, grounding/bonding
• Willingness to travel to third‑party labs to supervise tests
• Strong root‑cause analysis and cross‑discipline communication
• EMC simulation experience (plus) with HFSS/FEKO/CST

Responsibilities

• Define product/module/interface‑level EMC requirements and test strategies
• Own and operate the local EMC lab; plan, execute, supervise, and troubleshoot testing
• Evaluate test data and implement design countermeasures
• Communicate findings and negotiate design changes with stakeholders
• Review schematics and CAD for EMC risk; advise on PCB/component selection
• Travel up to 20% as needed
• Maintain clearance eligibility and collaborate with compliance teams
