Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced EMC engineering leader to drive electromagnetic compatibility for Power Electronics and Traction Inverter hardware from concept through production.

You will define designs, perform risk assessments, and guide testing strategies, working across design, controls, software, and vehicle integration teams. The role requires deep EMC expertise and strong leadership in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline required.
• 8+ years of hands-on hardware experience with high-voltage power electronics or similar systems.
• Strong expertise in EMC (emissions, immunity, grounding, shielding, and signal/power integrity).
• Experience designing/validating EMC for power electronics and traction inverters.
• Experience with EMC modeling, simulation, or analysis and correlation with measurements.

Responsibilities

• Lead EMC engineering for power electronics and traction inverter hardware from concept to production.
• Define EMC design strategies, requirements decomposition, risk assessments, and validation planning.
• Develop and apply electromagnetic models for coupling paths, resonances, and emissions.
• Lead EMC mitigation, testing, and root-cause investigations using measurements and simulations.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure automotive EMC compliance.
