Job summary

Rivian is seeking an Electromagnetic Compatibility Test Engineer to join our EMC lab in Irvine, CA. You will assess interactions between circuits in Vehicle ECUs and PCBAs and provide integration guidance and validation.

You\'ll work with hardware designers on next-gen control electronics, test margins in our laboratories, and help automate EMC test methods and data acquisition to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar discipline; +3 years of work experience.
• Master’s degree in electrical engineering or similar discipline; +1 year of work experience.
• PhD degree in electrical engineering or similar discipline; +0 years of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with hardware designers to develop the next generation of control electronics for Rivian vehicles.
• Test ECU and vehicle design margins in Rivian EMC laboratories.
• Improve accuracy and automate EMC test methods and data acquisition.
• Develop systems engineering models for sub-system EMI Source/Victim interactions in vehicles.
• Feed into electrical and mechanical integration and wiring harness design.
