Job summary

Niantic Spatial seeks a Senior/Staff Product Engineer for its Embodied AI team in San Francisco. You will own the product surface, enable integration with customers’ simulators and deployment stacks, and influence the roadmap.

You’ll transform prototypes into production-grade services, collaborate with researchers and customers, and drive scalable, reliable experiences across backend and frontend systems.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with a CS degree or equivalent.
• Shipped developer-facing products and worked with 3D asset formats to production depth.
• Proficient in Python and TypeScript; capable from requirements to production across frontend and backend.
• Experience designing asynchronous workflows and data-intensive systems.

Responsibilities

• Own product surface: APIs, UIs, packages, and docs.
• Make world native to the customer's tools and workflows, including packaging, metadata, and semantic labels.
• Turn prototypes into production-grade services and user experiences.
• Design and operate backend systems for accounts, sites, scans, assets, processing jobs, permissions, and data access.
• Work with customers and internal users to diagnose failures and improve reliability.
• Influence the roadmap with leadership to shape what is built and when.
