Green Key Resources is seeking an Embedded Test Automation Engineer for a full-time, permanent role. The candidate will verify and validate embedded systems, develop automated tests (primarily in Python), and engage in hardware-in-the-loop setups with CAN, UART, and SPI interfaces.

One of my most stable clients is looking for a full-time Embedded Test Automation Engineer. The successful candidate will have experience in:
1. Embedded Systems Verification & Validation (Non-negotiable)
Testing MCUs, safety controllers, I/O boards, bootloaders, drivers, interrupts, watchdogs
2. Strong Test Automation & Python or has coding proficiency in any language (non-negotiable)
Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), serial, CAN, Ethernet, GPIO automation
Debugs failures rather than simply executing scripts
3. Embedded Communication & Debugging (Non-negotiable)
CAN/CANopen/J1939/UART/SPI/I2C (at least CAN or serial required)
Uses oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, J-Link, Wireshark, CAN tools
Able to isolate firmware vs hardware vs test issues
4. Requirements-Based & Safety Testing - Good to have
Converts low-level requirements into automated verification
Experience with traceability, regression testing, safety-critical systems
Works in structured development environments (ISO 26262, IEC 61508, DO-178, medical, industrial, etc.)
This is a full-time, direct hire, permanent position. My client is open to relocation as this role is remote for up to one (1) year, then hybrid from my client's office.
