MiniMed seeks a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to lead verification and validation of embedded pump software. You will build automated test suites, reusable libraries, and CI/CD integrations while coordinating with software, hardware, and quality teams to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes risk-based testing, device interfaces, and hardware-in-the-loop testing in a regulated medical-device environment. Strong Python/JavaScript skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience; advanced degree with 2+ years acceptable.
• Experience testing embedded software, firmware, RTOS, or hardware/software integration; medical-device exp preferred.
• Strong Python and JavaScript programming skills with version control and reusable libraries.
• Experience with embedded debugging tools and test infrastructure.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD workflows and test data generation.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled testing concepts and human-in-the-loop considerations.
• Knowledge of verification/validation, risk-based testing, and design controls in regulated environments.
• Experience with device communication protocols and embedded interfaces; Appium a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for embedded pump software.
• Develop reusable test libraries and CI/CD integrations; ensure quality gates and reporting.
• Troubleshoot test environment issues and diagnose root causes in test code.
• Apply AI-assisted testing tools to improve requirements analysis and test data generation.
• Create and maintain V&V evidence with traceability across requirements, risks, tests, results, and defects.
