Job summary

Jobgether seeks a Senior Technical Support Engineer – Embedded Systems & Simulation for the United States. You will provide advanced technical support for embedded IoT devices, real-time operating systems, virtualization, and system simulation using Intel Simics and QEMU.

You will reproduce environments, investigate root causes, and collaborate with engineering and product teams worldwide to improve reliability. This fully remote role requires strong problem solving and clear communication.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of software/embedded experience.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in CS, engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on with system simulators and virtual platforms (Intel Simics).
• Strong embedded Linux, RTOS, and hardware-software know-how.
• Proficiency in Python, C, and YAML; capable of automating troubleshooting.
• Experience with Linux (Debian, CentOS) and Windows hosts.
• Understanding of multiple architectures (x86, ARM, PowerPC, RISC‑V).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced technical support for embedded IoT devices and software.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across hardware, OS, and software layers.
• Reproduce customer environments using Simics/QEMU to diagnose issues.
• Build and maintain lab test environments mirroring customer systems.
• Conduct root-cause analysis for embedded Linux and RTOS problems.
• Collaborate with engineers and product teams to resolve defects.
