Job summary

Meta is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer, Embedded Systems / Mechatronics, to bring up new platforms, integrate subsystems, and drive end-to-end test stations for scalable production. You will collaborate with design, FW, and controls teams to define interfaces, verify performance, and deliver repeatable builds in a lab environment.

The role requires hands-on electronics, C/C++ for embedded targets, Python tooling, and experience with real-time buses (CAN/CAN-FD, EtherCAT, RS-485,

Qualifications

• 7+ years building electromechanical systems outside a simulator.
• Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded targets and Python for tooling.
• Hands-on electronics skills: schematics, bring-up, soldering, harness fabrication.
• Experience with real-time comms buses: CAN/CAN-FD, EtherCAT, RS-485, SPI/I2C.

Responsibilities

• Lead bring-up of new platforms, actuators, and subsystems; define interfaces and calibration.
• Integrate subsystems end-to-end and validate against specs; drive test stations and data logging.
• Debug cross-domain problems; characterize performance: accuracy, bandwidth, latency, thermal envelopes.
• Write firmware and tooling for bring-up, diagnostics, and data capture; ensure repeatability.
