We are helping our client find a Mechatronics Engineer to support the integration, testing, and troubleshooting of complex electromechanical systems in a hands-on hardware development lab.
In this role, you'll work across mechanical, electrical, and firmware systems to build, integrate, and bring up functional hardware. You'll participate in the full hardware development lifecycle, from design and component sourcing through assembly, testing, and iterative improvements. Your builds, demonstrations, and technical work will also contribute to training AI systems to better understand hands-on physical tasks.
The ideal candidate brings practical mechatronics experience, strong cross-disciplinary troubleshooting skills, and the ability to independently work through complex hardware integration challenges.
motor tuning; prior builds of actuated mechanisms or mobile platforms.
Integrate mechanical, electrical and firmware pieces into a working hardware system or subsystem. Take new builds through first power-up with the hardware team, and flash and configure firmware. Debug problems that cross mechanical, electrical and firmware boundaries. Work on Linux and Python at the bench to run and check the system.
2+ years of hands-on mechatronics or electromechanical systems work. Has built and brought up a full electromechanical system, including its firmware. Mechanical and electrical skills at a working level; comfortable with Linux and Python.
