we are seeking a System Integration engineer to contribute to the system integration and testing activities for the next generation vehicle controller and software platform. This new architecture will integrate new and advanced software functions for cloud connectivity and edge processing, thus enabling highly automated driving and advanced connectivity features. The individual should be an experienced engineer with a strong technical background in systems engineering and vehicle architecture development, and corresponding project experiences in the industrialization of electronic systems and architectures.
The primary focus will be to integrate the system of ECUs on a system bench and ensure that the software running on all ECUs function together as one system. The process starts with flashing the software of the involved ECUs, and then running suite of tests that verifies the communication (Ethernet, CAN, and LIN), assess the stability of the software under stress, and tests core services based on spelled out requirements. The job involves reviewing the requirements, developing test cases using Python and CAPL scripting (for example), automating the execution of the test cases on CI pipelines, and analyzing the results (which involves root-causing of defects). The role demands close alignment and interaction with SW design and architecture teams.
We are looking for highly motivated integration engineers that work side by side with development engineers within agile teams from the early design phase until system validation. This starts at day one by not only integrating early implementations and requirement models, but challenging design and logical architecture in the earliest phase and with a focus to always strive for a great end-to-end system experience.
We are seeking someone with good expertise at the following levels of the electrical system architecture and its various vehicle network functions and features: design verification, architecture verification, code/script development, system integration, and product validation.
