Job summary

ACV is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to architect, implement, and maintain software across edge devices. You will work on platforms like Raspberry Pi and NVIDIA Jetson, writing low-level drivers, and enabling secure OTA updates in collaboration with hardware and cloud teams.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in embedded software, expert C/C++ skills, and strong Linux kernel experience. Expect a hands-on role with edge compute, hardware interfaces, and mentorship

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 6+ years of embedded software experience shipping commercial or industrial hardware products.
• Expert-level proficiency in C and C++ with strong scripting in Python or Bash.
• Deep experience with Embedded Linux development including kernel config, device tree, and custom drivers.
• Hands-on experience building applications on Raspberry Pi and NVIDIA Jetson.
• Solid understanding of hardware protocols: SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, USB.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain embedded software from prototypes to production code.
• Develop and optimize firmware and middleware on Raspberry Pi, Jetson, and ARM SOMs.
• Write and debug low-level drivers for cameras, sensors, and peripherals.
• Leverage CUDA/TensorRT for edge compute and real-time data processing.
• Design fault-detection and OTA firmware update systems for field stability.
• Collaborate with hardware, mechanical, and cloud teams to define system interfaces.
• Mentor junior engineers and enforce coding standards and testing practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
