Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions, part of the ASSA ABLOY group, seeks an Embedded Systems Engineer - Hardware & Firmware for its PTI Security Systems division in the U.S. You will lead hardware and firmware architecture, development, and validation for next‑generation access control and security products.

You will collaborate across software, mechanical engineering, product management, manufacturing, quality, and customer support to deliver secure, robust solutions from concept through production

Qualifications

Expertise in embedded software development in C/C++
Experience with embedded hardware architectures and schematics
Familiarity with RTOS, drivers, and device-management functions

Responsibilities

Lead embedded hardware platforms for access control and security products.
Define system architectures; select processors, memory, wireless modules, sensors and peripherals.
Create schematics and guide PCB layout; ensure signal and power integrity, EMI/EMC mitigation, thermal performance.
Develop and maintain embedded firmware including drivers, HAL, diagnostics, bootloaders.
Implement secure firmware architectures and cryptographic controls.
Integrate wired/wireless connectivity to cloud and enterprise systems; support product lifecycle.
