Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik GmbH in Connecticut is seeking a Systems Engineer for Embedded Solutions to join the Systems/Solutions Architect team. You will support design, integration, validation, and troubleshooting of complex access-control systems across hardware, firmware, and software domains.

This full-time, on-site role requires travel to customer sites, collaboration with global teams, and hands-on problem solving to identify root causes and drive robust solutions in PACS environments.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong background in electronics design, firmware development, or software development.
• Experience across hardware–firmware–application software boundary and system-level debugging.
• Experience with at least one wired protocol (TCP/IP or RS-485) and one wireless tech (BLE, Wi‑Fi, Zigbee, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites for deep technical diagnosis of system-level issues.
• Reproduce customer-reported issues and design validation tests.
• Lead or support integration of controllers, readers, hubs, sensors, and software applications.
• Collaborate across hardware, firmware, and software teams across time zones.
