Job summary

GE Aerospace in New York state (Bohemia) seeks an embedded systems engineer to lead hardware, firmware, and software design for aerospace applications.

You will develop schematics and PCB layouts, and perform HWIL and SWIL testing. Proficiency in C, C++, Python, Verilog, Linux, and RTOS is required for this role.

U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass background checks are prerequisites; 3+ years in embedded hardware and related protocols are expected.

Qualifications

• MS degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 3+ years’ embedded hardware experience (microcontrollers, microprocessors, FPGAs, ARM, NI, Red Pitaya).
• 3+ years’ experience with Linux, VxWorks or other RTOS environments.
• 3+ years’ programming in C, C++, Python, Verilog, and LabVIEW.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain embedded systems across hardware, firmware, and software.
• Develop schematics and PCB layouts for high-speed designs.
• Perform HWIL and SWIL testing, onboard and offsite.
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate aerospace systems.
• Maintain Git repositories and project documentation.
