Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks an experienced embedded systems engineer to design, develop, and test firmware, software, and hardware for high-speed propulsion projects. You will contribute to HWIL/SWIL testing and work across hardware, firmware, and software domains in a fast-paced defense environment.

Proficiency in C/C++, Python, Verilog, Linux, and RTOS is required, with familiarity in UART, I2C, PCIe, Ethernet, RS-232/422/485, SPI, CAN, and USB.

Qualifications

• MS degree required in Computer/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• 3+ years' embedded hardware experience (MCUs/MPUs/FPGA/ARM/Red Pitaya).
• 3+ years' Linux and RTOS experience (VxWorks, etc.).
• 3+ years' C/C++, embedded C, Python, Verilog, and LabVIEW programming.
• Knowledge of HS protocols: UART, I2C, PCIe, Ethernet, RS-232/422/485, SPI, CAN, USB.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to design, build, and maintain embedded systems (hardware, firmware, software).
• Develop software for NI, TI, Red Pitaya, ARM, and FPGAs.
• Write, debug, and test firmware/software in SIL and HIL benches.
• Design schematics and PCB layouts for high-speed designs.
• Field integration and testing for aerospace systems.
