Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on embedded systems engineer to create system controllers for fieldable atom-optic (AO) sensors such as gyroscopes, accelerometers, gravimeters, and related devices. The control hardware spans technologies including low-noise analog, digital, rf/microwave, high voltage, microcontrollers, SoCs, FPGAs, and ASICs. An ideal candidate will have a broad background in developing code for these diverse technologies. As a Senior Embedded Systems Engineer, you will collaborate with scientists and engineers to specify sensor control hardware, develop, test, debug, and maintain gateware, firmware, and software, primarily in embedded C, and work on GUIs for sensor operation. You will help guide the development of future quantum-atomic devices transitioning from lab to field.
