Job summary

Two Six Technologies in Linthicum, Maryland is seeking an Embedded Software Test Engineer to join our Trusted Electronics and Effects team. You will work with hardware-in-the-loop bench automation, test harness orchestration, and CI/CD workflows to verify embedded software.

Candidates should have hands-on Python, C/C++, or Rust experience, experience with Docker, and familiarity with UART, SPI, I2C, and JTAG. On-site presence in Linthicum is required daily.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automated test harness design or usage for HIL setups.
• Experience with bench environments for embedded software verification.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C, C++, or Rust for automation.
• Experience establishing CI pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and Docker-based execution.
• Familiarity with UART, SPI, I2C, or JTAG protocol and embedded bus monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Leverage test harnesses to accelerate software and firmware verification.
• Automate target device execution, bench instrument control, and CI-driven test suites.
• Validate software behavior, system execution states, and patch deployment with minimal supervision.
