Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Senior Embedded Software/Hardware Engineer to own high-ownership projects at customer sites.

You will select and harden the industrial PC and Linux platform, build imaging, provisioning, fleet updates, and integrate with BACnet/Modbus in modern facilities.

Requires 5-8+ years in embedded systems, strong Linux, Python and/or C/C++, plus familiarity with OT security practices; hybrid work with 3 days onsite.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years in embedded systems or edge/IoT.
• Strong Linux skills and Python and/or C/C++.
• Familiarity with BACnet/Modbus protocols is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Select and harden the industrial PC and Linux platform.
• Build imaging, provisioning, and fleet-update processes.
• Integrate with building management systems via BACnet/Modbus.
• Implement local time-series logging, telemetry, OS hardening, and encryption.
• Meet OT security requirements for high-security sites.
