Job summary

Roku is seeking a seasoned engineer for the New Products Development Team, focused on the Roku TV program. You will drive OS feature development, SoC integration, API work, and release cycles, using AI coding tools daily to accelerate quality.

The role emphasizes embedded systems expertise, collaboration across QA and development teams, and rigorous evaluation of AI-generated code for correctness and security.

Qualifications

Experience using AI coding tools in production workflows.
Ability to write effective prompts and evaluate AI output.
Hands-on experience with agentic coding harnesses and driving tasks with AI.
Understanding of prompts data leakage and prompt-injection risks.
Willingness to push AI boundaries and adopt new tools quickly.

Responsibilities

Develop Roku OS features and integrate with SoC partners.
Maintain code and design scalable solutions for onboarding factories.
Collaborate with QA and cross-functional teams throughout product cycles.
Integrate third-party APIs and support end-to-end development and releases.
Critically evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, security, and performance.
