Job summary

Roku is seeking engineers for the OS Platform UI team, focusing on agentic systems and real-time telemetry that scale to hundreds of millions of devices. You will own end-to-end features from OS platform layers to cloud integration, collaborating with product, design, and cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on work, performance at streaming scale, and collaboration to push production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Up to 3/4 years of professional engineering experience since you finished studying.
• Strong systems or infrastructure fundamentals including real-time data, telemetry, distributed systems, platforms or device work.
• Demonstrated agentic project you built and shipped that others use.
• Clear approach to accountability for code you did not personally type.
• A view on where agents are not good enough yet and why.
• The role requires the legal right to work in the US; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Develop multi-step agents that operate in production and detect regressions across services.
• Build internal tooling and services that accelerate the team’s work.
• Handle real-time telemetry and event processing at streaming scale for devices in homes.
• Address hardware-in-loop challenges with device fleets and signals not simulatable on a laptop.
