Job summary

RTX, in Cedar Rapids, is seeking experienced Software Engineers to join the Resilient Connectivity Products team on-site. The role focuses on embedded systems, cybersecurity, and secure communications for defense platforms, with opportunities to prototype and iterate across cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in embedded software or cybersecurity, strong OO design skills, and the ability to obtain a DoD clearance.

Qualifications

Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 5+ years of experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
Experience developing embedded software using object-oriented design.
5+ years of experience in embedded software, communications, cybersecurity, or related engineering.

Responsibilities

Support research and development projects focused on cyber security technologies.
Collaborate with hardware, software, communications, and systems engineers to develop, integrate, and evaluate cybersecurity technologies.
Support technology demonstrations and testing of cybersecurity solutions and capabilities.
Assist with technical proposal preparation and government-sponsored R&D activities.
Collaborate with technology stakeholders across Collins and with customers to support project goals and objectives.
