Job summary

Collins Aerospace Cedar Rapids is seeking software engineers with expertise in embedded systems, data links, signal processing, or cybersecurity to join our Resilient Connectivity Products team. You will prototype, test, and integrate cybersecurity solutions for next-generation aerospace platforms, collaborating across hardware, software, and systems teams.

The role emphasizes real-time embedded development, C/C++ and Python, secure software pipelines, and the ability to navigate open-ended

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM and minimum 2 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience developing embedded software using object-oriented design; 2+ years in embedded software, communications, cybersecurity, or related engineering.
• Preferred: strong communication skills, aerospace/defense experience, active DoD TS clearance, SoC deployment experience, and proficiency in C/C++ and Python.

Responsibilities

• Support research and development projects focused on cyber security technologies.
• Work with hardware, software, communications, and systems engineers to develop and evaluate cybersecurity technologies.
• Support technology demonstrations and testing of new cybersecurity solutions and capabilities.
• Assist with technical proposals and government-sponsored R&D activities.
• Collaborate with Collins stakeholders and customers to support project goals.
• Travel up to 10% of the time.
