Job summary

Vivint Smart Home is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design, implement, deliver, and maintain embedded Linux software for smart home devices. You will integrate devices over wireless protocols to create compelling user experiences within the Vivint ecosystem.

You will collaborate with a cross-functional team, write high-quality code, and continually learn new skills and technologies in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related field.
• At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency with modern C++.
• Experience with QT/QML for building UIs.
• Experience with Linux development, debugging and testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, deliver, and maintain application-level software running on embedded Linux-based smart home devices.
• Integrate smart home devices over wireless protocols into the Vivint ecosystem to build compelling user experiences.
• Collaborate in a cross-functional team with product leadership to address pain points and deliver high-quality code.
