Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Staff Embedded Software Engineer in Rolling Meadows, IL to design, develop, and sustain mission-critical software for defense systems.

You will apply model-based engineering, DevSecOps, and Agile practices to deliver embedded solutions across the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with C++ OO, Linux or VxWorks, and modern software architectures, plus ability to work with cross-functional teams and navigate security requirements.

Qualifications

BS or higher in CS/CE with 14+ yrs experience, MS with 12+ yrs, or PhD with 10+ yrs, or equivalent
Proficient in C++ OO
Embedded software on Linux or VxWorks
Familiar with Waterfall/Agile
US Citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain embedded software and firmware components
Apply standards, processes, and tools across the system development life cycle
Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and test personnel
Work on complex systems with multi-core, parallel processing and security requirements
