Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Embedded Software Engineer in Rolling Meadows, IL to design, develop and sustain embedded software for defense systems. The role emphasizes model-based engineering, DevSecOps and Agile practices with strong collaboration across teams.

The ideal candidate will have extensive C++ OO experience, embedded Linux or VxWorks, and familiarity with multiple software development frameworks. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related engineering field with extensive experience.
• Strong C++ OO programming and Linux/VxWorks embedded software experience.
• Familiarity with software development life cycle and agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, operate, and maintain embedded software and firmware components.
• Apply MBSE, DevSecOps and Agile practices across the system development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to meet requirements.
