Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Rolling Meadows, IL is seeking a Senior Staff Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and integrate embedded software for critical defense systems on-site.

The role requires strong C++ object-oriented skills, experience with Linux or VxWorks, and familiarity with Agile/Waterfall processes; US citizenship and the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in CS/CE with 14+ years, Master with 12+, PhD with 10+, or equivalent experience.
• Object oriented programming in C++
• Familiarity with software architecture and design patterns
• Experience with Linux or VxWorks in embedded software
• Familiarity with Waterfall and/or Agile
• Experience with Git/GitLab/GitHub/Bitbucket/ClearCase and Jira/Rally
