Job summary

Innoflight LLC in San Diego is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design and develop advanced embedded software powering satellite avionics and data processing systems. You will work at the intersection of software, hardware, and FPGA engineering to build rugged, Low-SwaP products for aerospace applications.

Collaborate across teams, mentor junior engineers, implement real-time and secure communications, and contribute to software releases and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Advanced C/C++ development for embedded systems.
• Experience with embedded Linux and RTOS environments.
• Ability to interpret schematics and hardware documentation for software development.
• Experience with driver development and low-level software integration.

Responsibilities

• Designs embedded software for multi-core processors and FPGAs in satellite avionics and payload processing.
• Develops C/C++ drivers and system-level applications for ARM Cortex and RISC-V architectures.
• Configures Linux kernels, bootloaders, and system settings for aerospace hardware.
• Implements real-time solutions and secures communications across embedded platforms.
• Leads software development, integrates modules, and ensures quality across products.
