Job summary

Innoflight is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead embedded software and cryptographic engineering for satellite avionics and payload data processing systems.

You will guide design, development, integration, and verification of secure, rugged, Low-SWaP aerospace products, collaborating with Systems, Hardware, FPGA, and Test teams to ensure mission-critical delivery. A U.S. Security Clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer/Software/Electrical Engineering or CS; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years in embedded software engineering, preferably aerospace/defense.
• 5+ years leading software engineering teams.
• Strong C/C++ and/or Rust for embedded systems development.
• Experience with cryptographic solutions for embedded systems and RTOS.
• Networking protocols experience; FPGA co-design desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of embedded software and cryptographic engineers.
• Establish standards for design, testing, and configuration management of embedded software.
• Guide secure software architecture for multi-core and FPGA-based systems.
• Oversee software requirements, architecture, integration, and verification.
• Collaborate with Systems, Hardware, FPGA, Test, and other engineering teams.
• Ensure product reliability, security, and compliance with standards.
