Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to help define and implement the satellite communication software stack for the Leo constellation. You will develop embedded modules and test frameworks for 3GPP 5G NTN and Open RAN based networking, collaborating with hardware, RF, and silicon teams to enable low-latency, high-reliability payload connectivity.

Qualifications

7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
7+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience (C/C++/Rust).
5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

Develop embedded software for satellites and ground systems related to the operation, validation, and management of a 3GPP 5G networking stack.
Participate in all phases of SDLC including requirements gathering, design, code, test, and code/test coverage.
Developing embedded software modules in assembly, C, C++, Rust or other languages operating against 3GPP 5G / O-RAN defined protocols and interfaces.
Have experience with real-time embedded software development and robust design practices.
Have expertise with Linux and RTOS.
Review schematics, logic analyzer, wireless signal and protocol analysis, and embedded software troubleshooting techniques.
