Job summary

OSI Systems, Inc. is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to develop software for RF and control systems, collaborating with software and hardware teams. The role requires DoD Secret clearance, and hands-on work with Linux, C/C++, TCP/IP, and embedded drivers for I2C, SPI, UART, USB, PCIe, GPIO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer or 5+ years with control/monitoring applications and TCP protocols.
• Experience in Linux/Unix/Windows environments and TCP/IP debugging w/ ICDs.
• Hands-on with lower-level communication protocols, high power lab/test equipment, schematics & board-level parts.

Responsibilities

• Develop software solutions by conferring with users and studying system flow and data usage.
• Document and demonstrate solutions with flowcharts, diagrams, and clear code comments.
• Update knowledge on state-of-the-art development tools and participate in professional opportunities.
• Support the organization with advice, coaching, and product/system design reviews.
• Report quality problems to management and participate in corrective actions.
