Job summary

OSI Systems, Inc. in Richardson, TX seeks a Principal Embedded Software Engineer to design, implement, and validate embedded software for ultra-high power RF transmitter systems with cybersecurity-aware development.

Lead design reviews, coordinate with the Program Manager, and guide the team to meet contract commitments. Requires RF experience, strong C/C++, Linux/Windows, and secure coding practices; ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of embedded software engineering experience in RF/high-power systems or mission-critical hardware.
• BS in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline; MS preferred.
• Strong C/C++ on Linux and Windows platforms.
• Experience with embedded databases and scripting.
• Experience with TCP/IP, I2C, SPI, UART, USB, PCIe, GPIO.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and interfaces to determine feasible solutions.
• Develop, integrate, and maintain embedded software for RF transmitter control and diagnostics.
• Lead design reviews, project planning, and risk identification.
• Collaborate with the Program Manager to lead development teams to meet contract commitments.
• Leverage AI coding tools responsibly with human review and security controls.
• Champion cross-team collaboration and subsystem reuse.
