Job summary

OSI Systems, Inc. seeks a Director of Engineering Development to lead electrical and RF design for advanced RF transmitter systems. You will guide architecture, supervise from concept to release, and mentor engineers while collaborating with manufacturing, quality, supply chain and program management.

You will craft development standards, manage multi-program priorities, and nurture a high-performance engineering culture, with opportunities for growth and security clearances as needed.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline with relevant management experience.
• Proven 10+ years of progressive engineering experience in electrical design, circuit design, RF engineering, PCB design, or hardware product development.
• Experience with RF system design, specifically high power and/or high-speed, time-based communications transmissions.
• Hands-on leadership with willingness to dive deep as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written skills to interact with project teams, management and customers.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve electrical designs, schematics, circuit designs, layout strategies, PCB layouts, design constraints, and release documentation.
• Establish and maintain engineering development standards for schematic quality, circuit design practices, layout rules, and design-for-manufacturing.
• Pilot disciplined development reviews, including requirements, architecture, schematic, layout, and production readiness reviews.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into actionable plans, schedules, and deliverables.
• Lead and develop a diverse team of electrical and RF engineers, fostering high performance and growth.
