Job summary

Tomorrow.io’s Space & Sensors team is building RF-based radar sensing systems and a weather satellite constellation. We seek a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to develop high-performance software in C++ and Rust for radar payloads and spacecraft integration.

You will work with firmware, hardware, and systems teams to deliver mission-critical, maintainable software, ensuring real-time data acquisition and robust interfaces across the platform.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience developing embedded software in C/C++ and/or Rust.
• Experience with embedded Linux and RTOS.
• Experience with ARM/FPGA-based SoC platforms for mission-critical apps.
• Interfacing software with embedded systems and low-level interfaces (I2C, SPI, CAN, AXI).
• Debugging across software, firmware, and hardware boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Develop mission-critical software applications.
• Design and implement embedded and user applications in C++ and Rust for SoC-based radar payload platforms.
• Design software interfaces for payload and mission operations.
• Connect ConOps processors, payload controllers, and subsystems for coordinated operations.
• Deliver reliable, maintainable embedded software and scalable architecture.
• Integrate software with spacecraft and payload systems.
• Collaborate with firmware, hardware, and systems engineering teams.
