Job summary

Moog’s Space and Defense Group in Santa Barbara, CA seeks a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design and integrate real-time control software for turreted weapons systems. Onsite schedule 9/80; must have strong C, RTOS experience, and ability to obtain U.S. security clearance.

Candidates typically hold a B.S. in Electrical/Computer/Software Eng and 5+ years embedded RTOS experience; 7+ preferred. The role offers competitive compensation, relocation support, and an ESPP.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering; or related field with relevant RTOS experience.
• Minimum 5 years in embedded real-time software design, development, and testing.
• Experience with C language; RTOS; embedded Linux a plus.
• Familiarity with 1553, UART, SPI, I2C, networking protocol stacks.
• Ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, debug, and integrate turreted weapon system software.
• Debug and support existing systems and field deployments.
• Architect scalable, performant, modular software; deliver documentation.
