Job summary

Talentify is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design and implement software and firmware for new medical devices, with emphasis on embedded C++ and 32-bit microprocessors. This contract role is based in Saint Paul, MN, and involves on-site work with potential limited hybrid once integrated.

You will collaborate in safety-critical environments and contribute to full-cycle development, BSP integration, and RTOS usage (QNX/FreeRTOS) across a medical device portfolio.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of embedded software development experience.
• 5+ years of recent RTOS experience, preferably with QNX or Free/Safe RTOS, but experience with TI/BIOS, uCOS is acceptable.
• 5+ years of experience with embedded C++.
• 1+ year of experience in a safety-critical environment (medical device or aerospace).
• 1+ year of experience working with Board Support Packages.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement software and firmware for new products.
• Program primarily in embedded C++.
• Work on projects utilizing a 32-bit microprocessor.
• Engage in full-cycle embedded software development.
• Collaborate in a safety-critical environment, such as medical device or aerospace industries.
• Incorporate Board Support Packages into project development.
