Job summary

Talentify is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design and implement software and firmware for new medical devices, with emphasis on embedded C++ and 32-bit microprocessors. This contract role is based in Saint Paul, MN, and involves on-site work with potential limited hybrid once integrated.

You will collaborate in safety-critical environments and contribute to full-cycle development, BSP integration, and RTOS usage (QNX/FreeRTOS) across a medical device portfolio.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of embedded software development experience.
  • 5+ years of recent RTOS experience, preferably with QNX or Free/Safe RTOS, but experience with TI/BIOS, uCOS is acceptable.
  • 5+ years of experience with embedded C++.
  • 1+ year of experience in a safety-critical environment (medical device or aerospace).
  • 1+ year of experience working with Board Support Packages.

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an Embedded Software Engineer where you will be responsible for software and firmware development for new products. This role involves developing from the ground up, primarily using embedded C++. You will work on projects utilizing a 32-bit microprocessor.

Essential Skills
  • 5+ years of embedded software development experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
