Job summary

Neogen is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and support embedded software for regulated instrumentation. This hands-on role spans BSPs, kernel, drivers, device applications, services, connectivity, security, and user interfaces.

Based in Oakdale, MN, the engineer will collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Service teams to advance new products and sustain existing ones used worldwide.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of professional embedded software development experience.
• Strong programming experience using C and C++.
• Experience with embedded Linux build systems such as Yocto, Torizon, or similar.
• Experience with BSP development and device-driver development.
• Hands-on experience with hardware bring-up and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software for instrumentation products.
• Develop embedded Linux software across the stack (BSPs, kernel, drivers, services, UI).
• Create and maintain software using C and C++ and Qt-based UIs.
• Support secure boot, signed images, and secure OTA updates.
• Collaborate across Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Quality, Regulatory, and Service teams.
• Lead reviews and shape software architecture decisions.
