Job summary

Teradyne is seeking a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer in North Reading, MA to own embedded firmware development for test instruments. You will design and implement Linux BSPs, interact with hardware and software teams, and drive scalable, automated deployment and validation.

The role requires 8+ years of experience, expertise in C/C++, Embedded Linux BSPs, and strong problem-solving skills. Familiarity with open source communities and multi-device debugging is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience required.
• Proficient in C/C++ coding (11 or newer).
• Embedded Linux BSP development experience.
• Strong communication and initiative.
• Experience with CI/CD integration.
• Proficient in Python and bash scripting.
• Familiar with Linux and open source communities.
• Experience with hardware interfaces (I2C/SPI/PCIe/USB).
• BS in relevant engineering field; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, implement, verify and validate Linux BSP and userspace tools for Teradyne instruments.
• Collaborate with Hardware, Software, and Systems engineering to provide interfaces to complex hardware.
• Develop scalable, high-quality, maintainable code; build and test automation for deployed systems.
