Qualifications

• Minimum seven (7) years of professional experience developing embedded software systems.
• Strong understanding of embedded microcontroller architectures, hardware interfaces, and system operation.
• Experience developing software in compliance with functional safety or design assurance standards such as DO-178 or IEC 61508.
• Advanced proficiency in the C programming language.
• Experience using source code management and version control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software from concept through product release and ongoing support.
• Create, review, and manage software requirements with complete traceability.
• Develop, review, and maintain high-quality source code according to coding standards.
• Debug and troubleshoot embedded software on target hardware and simulations.
• Investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective solutions.
• Utilize software analysis tools to evaluate memory, timing, stack usage, and coverage.
• Develop verification strategies and test plans to validate requirements.
• Support software validation activities by documenting and resolving verification issues.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliant product development.
• Assist with customer/regulatory audits by preparing technical documentation.
• Contribute to process improvements that enhance software quality and efficiency.
