Job summary
Honeywell Aerospace seeks a Senior Embedded Software Engineer for Flight Management Systems (FMS) in its Anthem NGA program. The role focuses on designing, developing, and integrating complex avionics software across flight deck platforms.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet stringent certification standards, perform integrations on hardware test benches, and push innovative software solutions for next-generation avionics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
- 6-8+ years of experience in software development.
- Strong C++ and/or Object-oriented programming skills.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Strong software architecture and design development skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Core Software architectures and applications for aerospace and avionics systems.
- Integrate FMS software into product development programs ensuring compliance with system requirements.
- Collaborate with systems engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to define software requirements and solutions.
- Develop and implement software solutions that meet performance, reliability, security, safety, and scalability goals.
- Lead software requirements reviews, design reviews, and code reviews.
