Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace seeks an Advanced Systems Engineer to drive Airbus FMS-related development, integration, verification, and certification efforts. You will collaborate with Airbus teams and internal specialists to define requirements, analyze system behavior, and guide issue resolution across lifecycle phases.

The role emphasizes system-level problem solving, documentation, and interface management with software, navigation, and V&V groups, ensuring compliant and safe flight management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• 5 years of engineering experience in Systems Engineering, avionics, aerospace, and/or embedded systems development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and manage system requirements for Airbus Flight Management System (FMS) functionality.
• Analyze Airbus operational requirements and ensure alignment with FMS system design.
• Support system architecture, requirements decomposition, and interface definition activities.
• Investigate, document, and track system observations and defects using JIRA.
• Support integration, verification, validation, and certification activities.
• Perform system-level troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate with software, navigation, guidance, performance, and V&V teams to resolve technical issues.
• Support customer issue investigations and technical reviews.
• Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and compliance artifacts.
