Compnova Inc in North Reading, MA is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer for an onsite contract engagement. You will own the design and delivery of C and C++ software for Linux-based and embedded systems, including hardware/software integration and debugging in an agile environment.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement multithreaded applications, work with SPI/I2C/UART/Ethernet/PCIe, and contribute to software quality through code reviews and documentation.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5+ years of progressive professional hands-on experience in embedded software development and systems engineering.
• Strong, demonstrable operational expertise in C and C++ programming for resource-constrained embedded and Linux-based environments.
• Comprehensive working knowledge and practical proficiency in debugging complex hardware/software integration issues and multithreaded applications.
• Deep practical experience with embedded communication interfaces and protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, PCIe).
• Solid practical grasp of Agile software development methodologies (story planning, bug tracking, sprint retrospectives) and version control (Git).
• Mandatory legal work authorization and physical availability for onsite professional operations in North Reading, MA (open to C2C).

Mansioni

• Design, develop, test, and maintain robust software solutions utilizing C and C++ for Linux-based and embedded hardware systems.
• Debug and optimize complex hardware/software integration issues across system- and board-level hardware components.
• Implement multithreaded applications, memory management optimization, and low-level peripheral driver integrations.
• Interface with embedded communication protocols and serial interfaces including SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, and PCIe.
• Contribute actively to software quality governance, code reviews, and engineering efficiency through modern software development practices.
• Participate in Agile sprint ceremonies including story planning, bug tracking, release planning, and sprint retrospectives.
• Communicate complex technical issues, project status, and risk assessments clearly to technical peers, engineering managers, and customers.
