HCL Technologies Limited in North Reading, MA is seeking a Technical Specialist to design, develop, and maintain C/C++ software for Linux-based and embedded systems. The role involves debugging complex hardware/software integrations, implementing modern practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has strong C/C++ skills for embedded and system-level applications, experience with multithreading, and familiarity with scripting in Python for automation and testing.

• Experience in design, development, and maintenance of C/C++ software for embedded and Linux-based systems.
• Ability to debug complex hardware/software integration and multithreaded applications.
• Proficiency with Python for automation, testing, and tooling.

• Strong communication to explain technical issues, project status, and risks to peers, managers, and customers.
• Experience implementing Agile software development practices like story planning, bug tracking, release planning, and sprint retrospectives.
• Proficiency in C and C++ software development for embedded and system-level applications.
• Experience debugging hardware/software integration issues and multithreaded applications.
• Familiarity with embedded interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, PCIe, or similar technologies.
• Availability to work from our North Reading, MA office five days per week.
