Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Sr Advanced Software Engineer within the NGA group to design and deploy cutting-edge Avionics Display System solutions for the Anthem Integrated Flight Deck. You’ll collaborate with engineers and designers to implement forward-thinking software for flight displays across platforms.

The role emphasizes real-time embedded development, C/C++, RTOS, and avionics domain knowledge, with a strong focus on safety, performance, and integration with existing systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• 6+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++ software development.

Responsibilities

• Drive design, development and implementation of robust, high-quality software for Flight Display System platforms, ensuring performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design architectures, and implement modules.
• Engage in the full software development lifecycle from concept through deployment.
• Own software modules, deliver innovative features and contribute to technology advancement.
• Ensure seamless integration with existing avionics systems.
• Identify opportunities for improvements and optimizations in existing applications.
• Software architecture and coding; Feature definition; Stay current with avionics tech trends.
