Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace Anthem is seeking a Software Engineer I–Embedded C++ to contribute to the Anthem Integrated Flight Deck platform in Phoenix. You will design, develop, and integrate next-generation avionics software across full lifecycle, enabling laboratory and on-aircraft testing for certification readiness.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a technical field and 1+ years in avionics software, with experience in C/C++, Python, and real-time OS environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited technical discipline (sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics).
• 1+ years of software engineering experience in avionics or related field (including internships or co-ops).
• Experience with C, C++, Python, PowerShell.
• Experience with real-time operating systems such as DEOS or ARINC 653.
• Experience with debuggers like gdb and Visual Studio.

Responsibilities

• Support IMA systems software integration activities.
• Assist with software validation and verification efforts.
• Contribute to KPI tracking and validation.
• Participate in requirements analysis and decomposition.
• Support model-based development and system design activities.
• Assist with integration testing and troubleshooting.
