Job summary

Snap Inc. seeks an Embedded Software Engineer for the SPECS team in San Diego to design and implement embedded software across prototypes and shipping products, including kernel, memory management, and I/O systems.

You will lead or participate in design reviews, debug issues, and optimize power and performance while reading schematics and driver code. The role demands strong C/C++ skills and ARM experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or electrical engineering or equivalent years of experience.
• 6+ years of embedded software development and ARM architecture experience.
• Proficiency programming in C or C++.
• Experience with BSP/Board Support Package, Operating Systems, Linux Embedded OS, Graphics, Camera, Audio and Display.

Responsibilities

• Lead or participate in the design, architecture and implementation of embedded software in both prototype and shipping consumer products.
• >Design and implement software or system development components at all layers of the system (kernel, synchronization, memory management, I/O, etc).
• Participate in design reviews and code reviews to create reliable solutions.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing sources of issues.
