Job summary
Snap Inc. is seeking an Embedded Engineer to join the SPECS team in a hands-on role designing and implementing embedded software for prototypes and consumer products.
You’ll work across system layers, from kernel and memory management to I/O and display, collaborating in design reviews to deliver robust solutions. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in embedded development, strong C/C++ skills, and experience with Linux Embedded OS, graphics, camera and audio subsystems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in CS or EE (or equivalent years of experience)
- 6+ years of embedded software development experience
- Proficient in C/C++ programming
- Experience with Linux Embedded OS and hardware interfaces
Responsibilities
- Lead or participate in design, architecture and implementation of embedded software for prototype and shipping products
- Design and implement software across system layers including kernel, memory management, I/O and security
- Participate in design/code reviews and collaborate with peers and stakeholders
- Triage issues and debug using source analysis and tooling
