Job summary

Kastle Systems is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer for a hybrid role based in Falls Church, VA. You will architect, design, develop and test embedded software for CheckVideo's flagship assets, with emphasis on performance, security and reliability.

You will work in a Linux environment, contribute to deployment pipelines, and advance expertise in board design, BSP and peripheral firmware. Collaboration across teams and adherence to SDLC practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of developing firmware for mass market Embedded Linux stacks.
• C, C++, Python, Go, Rust, Shell scripting are used.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test & deploy CheckVideo's embedded software.
• Develop in a Linux environment using source code control and deployment pipelines.
• Gain and maintain expertise in board design, BSP, SoC and peripheral control firmware.
• Maintain and update secure production software as necessary.
• Scale and tune for performance to meet production demand.
• Follow SDLC best practices for scalability, reliability & observability.
