Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA, based in Carson, seeks a Sr. Software Engineer to design, develop and debug embedded control software for aerospace power electronics. You will own or lead software components for controllers, 3-phase rectifiers, motor control, and DC-DC converters in harsh environments.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive improvements, review designs, and mentor junior engineers to deliver airworthy software that meets budget and schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in embedded control software for electronics applications.
• Ability to design and implement control algorithms for power electronics.
• Proven track record leading software development efforts in a team.
• Experience interfacing with cross-functional groups and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced control algorithms for power electronic applications.
• Develop requirements and write embedded code for 3-phase Active Rectifier and motor control electronics.
• Lead or contribute to subsystem designs balancing cost, reliability and requirements.
• Test and debug power electronics controllers and perform performance optimization.
• Review designs with vendors, customers and internal teams; mentor engineers.
