General Motors is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop and test low-level software for multi-core MCUs, including RTOS, memory management, and peripherals. You will work with AUTOSAR abstractions and MCAL configurations, performing root-cause analysis and independent code reviews.
The role supports a Hybrid Work Policy: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to deliver reliable automotive software; candidates should be
Design, develop, implement, and test low level embedded software including, but not limited to: RTOS, Memory, Fault Detection, Power Management, LIN, DMA, PWM Input/Output, Discrete Input/Output, Analog Input/Output. Utilize MCAL configuration tool to generate software and hand-code. Design and execute tests to ensure compliance with the component technical requirements. Provide independent review of software written by others. Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-office, 2 days remote - Must be able to report to local office.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study and Five (5) years of experience as an Embedded Software Engineer, Validation Engineer, or related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study and Three (3) years of experience as an Embedded Software Engineer, Validation Engineer, or related occupation.
